Reporting content
Report videos and comments that break the rules, and follow the status of your reports.
Report a video or comment
- Open the menu on the video or comment and select Report.
- Choose a reason and add details if they help.
- Select Report.
You can report each video or comment once.
Report reasons
- I just don’t like it
- Child abuse or exploitation
- Violent or repulsive content
- Sale or promotion of illegal goods
- Illegal adult content
- Personal data exposure
- Promotion of terrorism
- Scam or spam
- Copyright infringement
- It’s not illegal, but it must be taken down
- Other
Track your reports
Open Reports in the sidebar to see everything you’ve reported and its status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Submitted | Received and waiting for review. |
| Under review | The team is looking at it. |
| Resolved | Action was taken. |
| Rejected | No action was needed. |
You get a notification when a report is handled.
What happens after a report
The team may remove or restrict content, stop archiving a channel, limit features such as commenting or reporting, or suspend accounts. False or abusive reports can restrict your ability to report. See Reports, moderation, and enforcement.
