### Add-on

Extra boosts or storage added to a plan, billed monthly.

### Boost

A unit you assign to a channel to raise its level. Plans include some; more can be bought as an add-on. See [Channel boosts](/channels/boosts).

### Boost level

A channel's tier (1–3), set by the total boosts it receives. Higher levels record at higher quality, keep VODs longer, and check for live broadcasts more often.

### Broadcast

A live stream on a supported platform.

### Channel

A broadcaster's account on a platform, as archived on Streaminz.

### Clip

A short cut from a single VOD, made by a viewer. See [Clips](/create/clips).

### Credits

A U.S. dollar balance on your account that pays for charges before your card. See [Credits and redeem codes](/billing/credits-and-redeem-codes).

### Highlight

A video stitched from several segments of one or more VODs of the same channel, made with the Premium editor. See [Highlights](/create/highlights).

### Platform

A third-party streaming service Streaminz archives: Twitch, Kick, SOOP, CHZZK, or PandaLive.

### Redeem code

A code that grants credits or a plan for a set period.

### Retention

How long a VOD is kept before it's deleted automatically. Depends on the channel's boost level.

### Storage

The hours of VODs you can keep in your library, included in paid plans and expandable with an add-on.

### Subscribe (channel)

Following a channel on Streaminz for free. Separate from a paid plan subscription.

### Subscription (plan)

Your paid Basic, Standard, or Premium plan.

### VOD

Video on demand: a recorded broadcast you can watch after it ends.

### VOD delay

The wait before a published VOD becomes watchable on your plan: 24 hours on Basic, none on Standard and Premium.
